Home Sweet Home

I just got back from a quick, but much needed trip home. My flight was delayed 3 hours, and for anyone who knows the Townsville airport there isn't a great deal in the way of entertainment. Luckily, I made friends with a delightful old couple, had my new Yen magazine to read and was given a $15 credit to spend at the airport cafe. The time actually passed rather quickly. Once I finally arrived home it was nothing short of wonderful. I had a wine and cheese night with my mum, spent some 'girl time' with my sister, went out for a beautiful lunch with my mum, aunties, nana, and little cousins. I got to cheer on my little (but rather big) brother at his football grand final and caught up with my best friend, Cody. I rubbed my expecting cousin's tum, had a delish afternoon tea with more cousins, my nannie, and my aunty and uncle, and played UNO with my brother and dad. I also had a special delivery from my cousin, Paris who drew me a picture of my pooch, Bear (another drawing to add to the growing collection on my wall.) I managed to cram a fair bit into the three days I was home and it was the absolute best. I come from such a big family (my parents each have 4 siblings), so it can be a challenge catching up with everyone. But it's the fact I live so far away that makes me appreciate my family oh-so much more. There is nothing quite like family, especially mine they are all pretty swell!!           x

  2. Dear Cass,

Was so very lovely to have you home. Was delighted and very touched that my bump (or crumb catcher, as R has dubbed it!) got a mention in your wonderful blog.

Keep on writing - you have a gift, Cackie Lee.

    Lots of love,
